Watching the Penguin bit reminded me of "reading" Ruff's Bone (one of the better Living Books DVDs) with my son when he was 4 (now 21). Great memories. Imagining even more.

Its interesting and exciting but I do have a metallic taste in my mouth that these things are being defined by technology (sales and marketing patter) rather than a human need.

Why would you hand a child an iPad with spot the dog book.app on it when you could give them the physical book and some pens to colour it in, the difference in the experiences are huge - way beyond simple point click and interact.

I would love to know how the event goes shame the meet tonight is called off... great post
