2nd of the month, and post of the month is in the bag, Mr Perkin. Intelligent, humble, insightful, realistic stuff. And you run marathons. Nice work.

I missed this post but it does remind me of my own blog readership which is a thousand or so RSS and a hundred or so direct visitors. What I like most about them is they are invariably looking for what I write.

In all the kerfuffle over the internet and the ability to make a lot of money out of vast volumes of traffic. It's the niche nature of it which really appeals. I might not have a huge readership but I know I'm talking to the few hundred people around the world who really matter to me.

Great post. I feel a Me & Kate Moss Naked one coming up over at mine ;)

Good points for discussion here. What you also have to take into account is that a large portion of the time people spend online is spent watching TV content that has internet advertising built around it. They are 2 different channels that will be more effective for different people depending on what they are trying to flog. Would I advertise my plumber on TV? probably not worth it. but at the same time would something as targeted as Google adwords work for building up a brand like coke? Forget the size of different markets and just concentrate on what you need to sell yourself I think.
