Annoyed
This really annoyed me when I saw it. It's a Spanish print ad for the fnac record stores. And it's a complete rip off of the great consumer driven idea Sleeveface. Thing is, they haven't even tried to do anything different. They've just stuck the logo in the corner. Shame. Unfortunately it's this kind of advertising that will simply add to the cynicism people have about seeming ubiquitous commercial intrusion.

Smells suspiciously like a scam ad to me Neil.

so lame.
But thats an interesting trend - advertising imitate grassroots internet.
I watched the Brits yesterday and all mastercard ads where simply lousy youtube-like ordinary people dancing at home (bedroom/kitchen)videos...priceless.
Sign of the times...
PS:I'd love to get hold of the wallpaper research. cheers!

I'm not so sure, Stan - it's apparently done by an agency called Kitchen who do indeed have fnac as a client...
Asi - will see what I can do

it's testament to the fact that the idea drought is here. it's a well trodden path for trad ad agencies - if it's any consolation, lack of invention will always lead to failure when it comes to 'creative' agencies.

OK so Kitchen have FNAC as a client. Bet they saw the stuff online, mocked up an ad, then presented it as an 'initiative/value add'. Which is close to a scam in my eyes.
